More about Alumni BenefitsDepending on your military experience and education, you may be eligible to receive academic credit that can be put toward your Norwich degree.
Students who wish to enter Norwich’s online bachelor’s degree programs can earn academic credit from previous college coursework, military or professional training, professional certifications, and CLEP (College Level Examination Program) exams. All transcripts are reviewed so that transfer credits can be maximized. Bachelor degree students can transfer up to 90 credits. A minimum of 30 credits and a C letter grade for transfer courses is required for admission, with the exception of the Strategic Studies and Defense Analysis program in which 60 credits minimum is required.
For master’s degree programs, students who have earned graduate-level credits at another educational intuition may be able to transfer up to 12 semester credits toward a Norwich master’s program, depending on the course taken and the program of interest. Norwich accepts credit from regionally accredited institutions of higher learning, and students must earn at least a grade of B or its equivalent in all seminars or courses in order for transfer credits to be applied. Norwich also complies with VA regulations and guidelines as they pertain to transfer credits.
Contact Norwich’s admissions team for more information about our credit policy or for a free credit transfer evaluation.
